At present, modern blast furnaces mostly use thermal storage hot blast furnace, whose working principle is to burn gas first, use the generated flue gas to heat the refractory ball in the storage chamber, then heat the cold air through the hot refractory ball, and then alternate the hot blast furnace in turn to burn and send air, so that the blast furnace continuously obtains high temperature hot air. Therefore, it is important to improve the heat transfer efficiency of the hot blast furnace to increase the wind temperature. And increasing the heating area of refractory balls is an important technical measure to improve the heat transfer capacity. In recent years, with the improvement of hot blast furnace operation system, domestic iron and steel enterprises have made attempts in applying high-efficiency refractory balls by optimizing the structure of refractory balls, reducing the aperture of refractory balls and increasing their heating area, thus improving the heat transfer efficiency and thermal performance of refractory balls.
